GrandmasterB’s favorite bloody pastime is coming back this Sunday, September 28th on Showtime! That’s right, Dexter is back to kickoff it’s third season and looks to improve upon the success of season two.

Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) has cleared his name as the Bay Harbor Butcher and begins his quest of rebuilding his work as a vigilante murderer. This time the story is different though; now Dexter is molding “Harry’s Rule” into his own and becoming a master of his work.

From what I can tell in the Season Three Trailer, all of the main characters from the previous season are back. A new addition to the cast Jimmy Smits (NYPD Blue and The West Wing), who plays the District Attorney Miguel Prata. He appears to be Dexter’s protagonist this season, as he tests Dexter and his “code”.

This third season will definitely be exciting and fresh. The cast and crew will be looking to improve upon season two and the five emmy award nominations it received for 2008.
