Summer Glau’s Packin’ Heat

Monday, September 8th, 2008

I’ve been eagerly awaiting the fall television premiers since early August, and tonight my favorite show on FOX returns…Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I still need to watch the season one finale and get caught up before tonight’s premier. When the first season ended my DVR went on a recording spree and deleted the finale, so I had to wait until it aired again last week and get it recorded again. I don’t know what it is about this series that I like so much…could be the fact that Lena Headey plays Sarah Connors, but I’m fairly certain that Summer Glau keeps me coming back every week. Yeah…that’s gotta be it. Summer is packin’ heat and ready to kick ass!

GrandmasterB is also ready to kick some ass. After a lackluster month of blogging, I’ve decided to refocus my efforts and concentrate on building up the flagship of the GMB-Network. In July I had my biggest month ever, and rather than busting my ass to capitalize on the success I mailed it in last month and didn’t do nearly as well as I could have. Of course, I’m not one to make excuses but a lot of my time was spent working on the new forums for the MountainWest Sports Network and a custom wordpress theme for a client. I didn’t have much time for anything, so I’ve gotta cut myself a little slack…but not much.

Week In Review (4/14 - 4/20)

Monday, April 21st, 2008

This past week was a busy one for GrandmasterB. Between work and family life I didn’t have very much free time to come up with many killer posts for the week. I’ve been trying to find out what is going on with Cuzzy’s site that is causing his CPU load to skyrocket. Trying to narrow down an error between Wordpress 2.5 and one of his plugins has proved to be a daunting task, but one that I am focused on figuring out.

I have spent a good deal of time tidying up and rearranging the furniture in the joint and doing some local testing on new features that will be rolling out within the next week. The most noticeable new feature will be paid advertising on the site. I’ve thought long and hard about implementing ads on the site, and I feel that there is no time like the present to start bringing in a little extra scratch for operating costs. In order to streamline the process I have purchased OIOPublisher and highly recommend it if you’re looking to sell advertising on your own blog. If you’re interested in purchasing the OIOPublisher or have questions about it let me know.

The other additions will be fairly cosmetic and add functionality to the site. At this time the list of plugins includes: CommentLuv, Comment Relish, Twitter Tools and Clean Archives Reloaded (to clean up the sidebar). I should be done tonight or tomorrow with local testing and have them live no later than Wednesday. That’s about all for the “What I’m Up To” section…onto the review.
