The Britney Circus is Back in Town
Posted on December 2nd, 2008 by GrandmasterB under Month in Review
Chris Crocker you have reason to celebrate; your idol Britney Spears is back on the scene. Fresh from her straight jacket her latest album cleverly titled “Circus” launched today on her 27th birthday. One has to wonder if the album title gives a nod to the “media circus” that is Britney’s life? I’m sure all of you Britney lovers are so excited to see her back in action (you included Crocker…you weirdo), but I for one was glad to see her disappear from the limelight for awhile. Now she’s back and on a whirlwind tour to fix her image and be the “pop princess” once again.
She appeared on Good Morning America today and much to the surprise of those that tuned in (NOT ME!), it was rumored that she actually sang and didn’t lip sync. There are some that say she is back on track and doing better than ever…but I’m certain the ring master of this “Circus” will rear her ugly head again. Soon we will all be hearing about her partying it up with Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan again. Having to deal with hearing news of her shaving her head, getting out of limos sans underwear and a number of other unimportant breaking Britney news. I want to hear about news that matters…like how was the month of November for GrandmasterB?
MONTH IN REVIEW
Another month in the books and another month of record breaking traffic for GrandmasterB! I want to give a shout out to the Shannon Twins and the beautiful Megan Fox for making the month of November the best yet in this site’s short history. I’ve read a number of articles on the web about building traffic and getting your site noticed, and all of them stated that it takes at least six months to see real success online. Well, October was month seven and the site finally took off, and it continued it’s climb to superstardom in November eclipsing the previous month’s numbers. I didn’t have much free time at all in November to crank out the content that I wanted, but it didn’t seem to hurt much (until the end of the month). There was a huge drop in traffic after the hype from the Megan Fox post had died down, and GMB had nothing to follow it up.
Within the first ten days of the month I was on pace to destroy the previous record month of October, but life caught up with me and I couldn’t get out the content that I wanted. In the end it was a great month and things are looking to keep improving. Here are the numbers from November.

A LOOK IN THE MIRROR
I had to take a step back last month to figure out what it was exactly I wanted to do with this site. Do I want it to be a site focused on Graphic/Web Design and a place of business or a place where I can just put down my thoughts, entertain readers and as a place where I can offer my design services to the masses. After a bit of soul searching and much contemplation it occured to me…what is the title of your blog? Wandering Thoughts of a Graphical Assassin. The site has had that title and focus since it’s debut back in March and it’s done well. People that like to read the posts about Kim Kardashian, pictures of babes and graphic design tutorials will always visit and it will attract new visitors as well.
The business portion of the site is taking off and will probably move on to it’s future home in 2009, but for the time being it works where it is. There’s an old saying “Don’t Fix It if It’s Not Broken”; well, this site is most definitely not broken…so I’m not going to mess with the formula. Look for more of the same great tutorials, controversial posts and other “wandering thoughts” in the near future. December is going to be a busy month for GrandmasterB…you won’t want to miss it.

Hey Bryan,
Great stats and as for the direction this is a dilema I have faced many times and I have often lost Focus on TheRandomForest. So much so that I am considering selling and starting fresh with a new more focused site to help me move my online business along.
I look forward to this blog in 09 and I am sure you will take it in the right direction.
