Gettin\' GrungyGrunge Styled Banner

This tutorial will walk you through the steps of creating a banner with a grungy look and feel to it. It uses multiple textures, Go Media vector elements and many original GrandmasterB tricks. I have taken the time to link to all of the elements used, and each step has detailed screenshots and instructions making it much easier to follow. This tutorial uses an extensive amount of vector elements from Go Media; which I purchased. If you like them, I highly recommend visiting their site and purchasing them as well…you won’t be sorry. If you want to make something that gets your readers attention…this tutorial will do the trick.

oooh...shiny.Glassy RSS Feed Icons

This tutorial is by far the most popular one to date that I have written. I spent a lot of time researching different ways to customize my own feed icon for GrandmasterB dot com, and this tutorial is a direct product. Within the tutorial you will find resources for creating your own icons as well as two different ways to customize your icon. There is the simple way to customize it by adding color, and then there’s the GrandmasterB way of customizing. I had a lot of fun writing this tutorial, and if you’re the type that likes freebies you’ll have to download the Glassy RSS Feed Icon Set that I put together following the tutorial.

In this two-part tutorial series, you will learn some more advanced Photoshop techniques and tricks to give your text a brushed metal finish. This tutorial is unlike other text effect tutorials, because it goes a step further to show you how to create a cool background and reflection effect as well. It’s basically three tutorials in one. For the first part of the tutorial I have included the .PSD file for you to download. Within the file are a few freebies from my Go Media vector element collection.

Heads Up 7UpFeature Post Logo

After perusing the blogosphere and seeing that many blogroll posts had their own catchy titles and logos, I decided to create my own and publish a tutorial on how it was made. This particular tutorial was the first one ever written by GrandmasterB. In order to use this tutorial you will need to have Adobe Illustrator or a comparable vector drawing program. The skill set for this tutorial is basic to intermediate and uses mainly text effects.
