Week in Review (4/7 - 4/13)

The buzz from being featured on WP-Premiums carried me through the week and created a storm of new visitors. The site has been receiving a lot of return visits which is great…at least I know you guys are somewhat interested in what I’m writing. I’ve received numerous emails regarding designing custom themes. I am planning on releasing a post later this week in regards to going public with design services. At this point, I’m still working on the details and when I have everything cleared up I will let you guys know. For now, lets see what happened this past week shall we…
April 7: Win and XBOX 360 Elite and GTA IV - I entered the sponsored contest on Johncow.com for a chance to win a new XBOX 360 Elite and a copy of the upcoming release Grand Theft Auto IV. This post was written to gain and extra 250 entries into the contest.
April 9: New Hosting for GrandmasterB.com - After reading some of the reviews of Top Hosting Center on Johncow.com; I decided that maybe it was time to change hosting companies. This of course created some great dialog in regards to hosting companies and hosting plans. Needless to say it raised some concern with me and I am still weighing my options. After hearing about Cuzzy’s problems today with HostGator I’m a little concerned. I guess I better do some more research on the matter.
April 11: What’s Wrong with This Picture? - After the EntreCard update last week I had some technical issues displaying the “drop” link in Firefox. After simply logging into EC, the matter was fixed. Boy did I feel stupid. LOL!
April 12: Another “Grand” Creation! - On Saturday I finished a modified version of my theme for a client of mine. The site MeetMrMet.com is dedicated to New York Mets baseball. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out yet, you should. It’s pretty cool, even if you’re not a Mets fan.
April 13: GrandmasterB.com Featured on CMSNerd - For the second week in a row GrandmasterB.com has been featured for it’s design. CMSNerd is the latest creation from Anthony (Funk13.com). Check out the site…it’s great! There are a lot of quality designs featured on the site that all use different types of CMS (Content Management Systems).

Thanks for the comment Jeff. This has been an interesting journey so far. I am still learning about this blogging universe, and I’m sure there’s more to come. Right now I am working on plans to start selling advertising on the site. Perhaps I can make a buck or two for coffee in the mornings.

Yes, I agree. But what do you think about Godaddy? I know they always give a lot of coupon code to waive the total price. Do you use them too?
