This is crazy…I can’t believe that July is almost over already. It seems like the Fourth of July was just yesterday and now we’re only 10 days away from August. Summer seems to be flying by and it’s almost over. Heck, my oldest son starts school next week…his summer is over. GrandmasterB took the family camping on the western slope of Colorado over the weekend. It was nice to unplug for a few days and get away from all of the hectic city life. I was shocked to see that gas prices are freakin’ insane on the other side of the Rocky Mountains. When we left we filled the Explorer up with E85 which was 2.89/gallon, but along the I-70 stretch there are no “corn stations” and gas was a whopping $4.42/gallon. I almost crapped myself when I only squeaked out a little over 10 gallons on $45…OUCH! I’ve got some pictures of the festivities during the camping excursion, but their being photoshopped to protect the identities of the innocent. I’ll write up something this week and share with everyone.

Last week was a bit slower than the record week before, but the numbers were still very strong. July is going to definitely raise the bar for the months ahead as I’ve nearly surpassed the total numbers for May and June combined…very exciting. I’m working on a new tutorial that should be well received (I hope), and the finished product will be seen on Cuzoogle once it’s finished. Other than that, I’m still doing some testing locally with WordPress 2.6 and will probably make the switch this weekend barring any unforseen hiccups. I’ve got many more pans in the fire that need tending too…who knew blogging would be such a juggling act?

July 14: WordPress 2.6 Has Been Released - Apparently the developers couldn’t wait to crank out improvements on WP2.5, and they beat their timeline for releasing this new version. As mentioned earlier I am working on implementing WP2.6 on GrandmasterB, but testing things locally first. I’ve got a few new features that I’m putting together (if I find time) before I upgrade.

July 15: Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog - Hilarious three-part internet only show from Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon. The show features Neil Patrick Harris as Dr. Horrible a newbie villain trying to win a spot on the Evil League of Evil and a place in the heart of the girl of his dreams.

July 17: Go Media: New Font and Exclusive Vectors - A new font and vector pack from the Go Media crew. I purchased it today and I’m working with it for a tutorial. It’s sweet!

That was all for last week, pretty boring I know. Now that the camping trip is over and I’m refreshed look for some good stuff to come this next week.
