It is hard to believe that the month of September is over (well…over tomorrow). Where does the time go? It seems that all of my time has been spent at work or in front of the computer at the house. I have recently partnered up with Jeff (BuzzMyBlog.com and BuzzPirates.com) to provide my services along with Jeff’s programming experience to a broader audience.

We are still working on setting up our online presence (ie. domain name, business plan, etc.); however, we are open for business and bidding on multiple projects.  So please, let us know if you or anyone you know needs some help with custom software, a website, a widget, a plugin, a gadget, an app, a blog, or even an enterprise scale Content Management System. We can do it all…and we are happy to pay referral fees. I would like to give a special “shout out” to Cuzzy for referring our first few clients. Thanks Cuzzy!

During all of this business planning and completing client work, I am also taking a College Algebra class to fulfill my last remaining three credits to complete my Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology. I had previously wanted to just take the CLEP test and get out of taking the class, but with everything else I had on my plate figured it would be easier to take the five week course and have work reimburse me for the tuition. I haven’t taken a math course in over ten years and let me tell you; it’s not as easy as it once was. I’m not sure what I’m going to do once my oldest son hits the age where he’s bringing home his Algebra homework.

During all of the extra curricular activities that I’ve been doing, I have still found some time to write new content for this site. I’m working on ideas for a new tutorial, but haven’t found anything solid to go with as of yet. I’m hoping that I can find something worthwhile soon; I need to get some more referral traffic from the big tutorial sites!

GrandmasterB was fortunate enough this weekend to receive a little boost from the Google PageRank update. They saw fit to grace the site with a bump up to a PageRank of 3/10. I have managed a one point jump for each of the past three updates. I’m only hoping that I can use these next three months to work out a two point jump for next time. While researching some of my rankings for keywords, I noticed that all of my tutorial or references to Go Media were written as GoMedia. While I was ranking very high for that particular term it was inaccurate. Thanks to Jeff’s recommendation I installed a new plugin today that allows me to find and replace those entries within the database. If you happen to install and use this plugin, I highly recommend backing up your database first. The changes made cannot be undone, and anytime you’re tinkering with your database you should create a backup first!

Onto last week’s posts and reviews:

Sept. 22: Design Resources: BGPatterns.com – Tiled Background Designer -I located this little gem of a site the other night while searching for design resources. If you’re looking to create a quick tiled background pattern…this is the site for you.

Sept. 22: Dexter – Season Three Premier – A quick preview post regarding the upcoming Season three premier of Showtime’s Original Series “Dexter”.

Sept. 23: Cuzoogle’s Pigskin Picks: Week Three – My recap of week three’s NFL action. I didn’t do too bad for the week going 12-4, at least I finally cracked the top 10 for the week.

Sept. 24: Clay Aiken is Gay? No Friggin’ Way – Clay Aiken came out of the closet in a recent People magazine interview…big surprise.

That’s all for this week’s edition of the Week in Review. Once I finish my recent client project and it goes live, I will post images of it here and on my Design Services page. Thanks for reading.
